
Dr. Benjamin Pradere
Dr. Benjamin Pradere, earned his MD degree from the Urology and Oncology Unit at the University Hospital Center of Tours, France. He further honed his expertise through a year-long clinical and research fellowship sponsored by the Endourological Society, conducted at the Urology Department of Tenon Hospital, Paris, under the guidance of Prof. Traxer. During this period, Dr. Pradere made significant contributions to the field, focusing on innovative approaches to treating urothelial carcinoma and pioneering new technologies for its diagnosis, which garnered multiple prestigious awards.
In 2019, he embarked on a journey with the Department of Urology at the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Medical University of Vienna, Austria, where he played a pivotal role in clinical research. Today, Dr. Pradere serves as a senior Urologist at La Croix Du Sud Hospital in France, with his primary emphasis on Urothelial Carcinoma and Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH). He maintains close collaborations with leading European University Hospitals, actively contributing to international research endeavors.
For six years, Dr. Pradere led the executive committee of the French Association of Young Urologists (AFUF) and served as its Chairman. Under his leadership, the AFUF created invaluable educational and scientific content. He remains dedicated to shaping the future of urology and is actively engaged with the European Association of Urology (EAU), where he is part of both the Young Urologists Office (YUO) and the Young Academic Urology office (YAU), within the Urothelial working Group.
Since 2015, Dr. Pradere has contributed as an Associate for the EAU Guidelines, initially in the Urological Infection panel, and later transitioning to the Non-Muscle-Invasive Bladder Cancer (NMIBC) and Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma (UTUC) guideline panels. In 2018, he took on an active role in the EAU Guidelines Dissemination Group. He also leads the Educational UroOnco Platform of the EAU, for the section dedicated to urothelial carcinoma.
Within France, he continues to contribute significantly, serving on various scientific committees such as the committee for urothelial carcinoma (CCAFU) and the committee for male Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (CTMH). His commitment extends to nurturing the next generation of urologists, as he holds a position in the French College of Urologic Teachers.
Since 2022, he has been elected at the executive committee of the French Association of Urology (AFU), where he took the position of vice-treasure and is leading the communication committee.
Dr. Pradere is a prolific author and co-author of over 400 peer-reviewed articles in esteemed international journals and has authored several influential book chapters. He also actively participates as a reviewer for numerous national and international journals. Furthermore, Dr. Pradere serves as an associate editor for several urological journals, including the World Journal of Urology, Progrès en Urology, and Actas Urologicas. His primary areas of expertise encompass urologic oncology and endo-urology, with a specific focus on upper urinary tract and bladder cancers.
