
Dr. Sima Porten
Sima Porten received her undergraduate, doctoral and public health degrees from Northwestern University, completing her education in June 2006. She then completed her urology residency training at University of California, San Francisco followed by Urologic Oncology Fellowship at The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center. Currently, she is the fellowship director for the Urologic Oncology program at UCSF and globally with the Uganda Cancer Institute. She leads the bladder program at UCSF and is a key member of the multidisciplinary urologic oncology team of the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her clinical and research interests in bladder cancer, upper tract urothelial cancer, and renal cell carcinoma.
