
Dr. Pieter Uvin
Pieter Uvin studied medicine at KU Leuven (Belgium) where he obtained his medical degree in 2010. He then started his urology residency there, which he completed in 2017. Parallel to his clinical training, he conducted research into molecular sensors of bladder pathophysiology, with which he obtained his PhD in Biomedical Sciences in 2015. After his residency in urology, he did a fellowship focused on robotic surgery and HoLEP at OLV Aalst. Since 2018, he works at the Urological Center North West Flanders in Bruges (AZ Sint-Jan Bruges and AZ Sint-Lucas Bruges, Belgium) where he focuses on the treatment of benign prostate pathology (HoLEP, MiLEP and Rezum) and prostate cancer.
